Alpha Gamma Rho is two fraternities in one unlike any other. Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) provides young men with the opportunity to experience growth both socially and professionally. AGR does what you expect a social fraternity to do; socialize with other students on campus and people in the community. AGR is also like other socialfraternities in that it has a strong group of members. All members of AGR have related career interests and similar academic goals.

Because AGR is a professional fraternity, we are dedicated to promoting your career development during your college years as well as after graduation. The Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity establishes alumni contacts that may potentially lead to internship opportunities and job networking.
We know the real reason you're in college:
Alpha Gamma Rho is constantly striving to achieve their ultimate goal while at college - get an education. In an attempt to aid the academic success of its members, AGR establishes peer study groups for the individuals with the same major and academic interests. The AGR House recently received state of the art computer equipment.
We are not just an agriculture fraternity:
Although many members of Alpha Gamma Rho are agriculture majors, or have a strong interest in agriculture, the interest of its members expands from business to communications. The brotherhood of AGR values its diversity in today's changing agricultural community.
AGR men are leaders:
The importance of leadership skills are developed and enhanced in Alpha Gamma Rho. Our members take an active part in fraternal and university activities through general membership as well as officer positions.
Lean on us:
Our brothers realize that their community extends beyond the university. AGR aids the community through volunteer service work and philanthropic projects, such as Little League Baseball Sponsorships, Tarleton Round-Up, Adopt-A-Highway and other related activities. AGR has an active membership in the Chamber of Commerce and the TEXAN Club.
AGR plays hard too:
Even with the business and philanthropic activities, the men of Alpha Gamma Rho alsofind time to relax and have fun. AGR holds annual events such as: Dove hunt, AGR Fall Spectacular (TCCA sanctioned stock show), Semi formal Christmas Banquet, Chili Fiesta (cook off & concert), and Pink Rose Formal. On-campus activitiesinclude: mixers, Halloween carnival, howdy, homecoming, and Greek week activities.
Tarleton State University, Beta Sigma Chapter:
Beta Sigma participates in many events on the Tarleton campus, and is a huge supporter of its tradition. Since our establishment at Tarleton in 1992, many brothers have held, or still hold, such offices as: Dean of the College of Agricultural and Human Sciences, Coordinator of Student Leaderships Programs, Student Body President, Student Body
Vice President, Inter-fraternity Council President, Vice President, Treasurer, Greek Man of the Year, Texas State FFA Vice President, Orientation Advisors, and Duck Camp Facilitators. Alpha Gamma Rho is the only fraternity at Tarleton to reside in a nationally owned fraternity house.
